Rome B&B

Of all the accommodation categories in Rome, the Bed and Breakfast one is the most recent. Hotels, pensions, guesthouses and hostels (or youth hostels) have existed for years, but the Bed and Breakfast category was invented for the Jubilee in the year 2000, when the mayor of Rome was afraid that the number of hotel beds was not going to be able to cope with the expected tourist invasion.

The Bed and Breakfast has a number of advantages over other types of accommodation. It is first of all cheaper than a hotel. At the moment Rome Is the 7th most expensive city in the world for hotel accommodation (Moscow is first, for who wants to know) and the average price for a hotel room in Rome is slightly over 150 Euros per night. At the Bed and Breakfast Chaplin and the Little Italy B&B Rome you pay half that amount during the high season and only around one third in the winter.

Despite the cheap rates you do not have to deal with other snoring backpackers, as you would have to in a (youth) hostel.

Both the Chaplin B&B and our sister Bed and Breakfast, the Little Italy, can easily be reached from the main railway station Termini and the airports of the Eternal City.
