					<description>&lt;em&gt;Was just in Rome--left a bag  with my prescription sunglasses and tour guide and map in a taxi on evening of March 16, around 8 pm, is there a central Lost Property office for such items--am now back home in Dublin, but would like to get them back if possible!! Any suggestions?  Thanks--&lt;/em&gt;

Hello Mary,

On the internet I didn't find anything (next time try to lose your stuff on a train, bus or metro, it makes things a lot easier). I called the tourist office and they didn't really know what do say either, but they did give me one phone number (of the department of the city of Rome dealing with taxi's in general) you could try: +39 (0)6671070844.

The problem is that you probably don't know what taxi company you used, otherwise you could call their central office. If the hotel you stayed at called the taxi for you, you could contact them, since they might remember (also because, like me, they probably always call the same company).

The numbers for the biggest taxi companies are:
+39 (0)63570
+39 (0)65551
+39 (0)64994
+39 (0)64157
+39 (0)66645

I'm sorry, but there doesn't seem to be a lot I can do for you.
Kind regards,

Rene
