Rome Music

Compared to as recent as only 10 years ago, Rome nowadays is a much more attractive city for music lovers.

Several festivals are held every year, such as the Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival (usually in June), the Gospel Festival at the Auditorium (Christmas period) and the summer festival at the Ippodromo Cappanelle (July).

The biggest names play in the Olympic Stadium of course, while the slightly lesser famous bands and solo artists have to make do with the Auditorium Parco della Musica or the Palasport. For alternative music you can go to the Circolo degli Artisti in the Pigneto neighborhood and Big Mama and Alexanderplatz are famous venues for respectively blues and jazz music.

Our Rome concert calendar takes into account that most of the visitors of our Rome Guide will not speak Italian and therefore focuses mainly on foreign artists.
