Buildings

Many of Rome’s museums and art galleries are housed in buildings, or palazzi, that are tourist attractions in themselves. Some of the more famous ones amongst these are the Palazzo Massimo alle Terme, which is one of the seats of the Museo Nazionale Romano (Roman National Museum) and the Palazzo Corsini, which houses the Galleria Corsini.

Several foreign embassies are also housed in some of Rome’s most prestigious locations. The French Embassy beats everything in this respect, since its seat is the Palazzo Farnese, but the Brasilian Embassy (in one of the most impressive palazzi of Piazza Navona) and the U.S. Embassy in the Palazzo Margherita along the Via Veneto are not badly situated either.
