Vatican Hotels

There are around 200 hotels and bed and breakfasts in the Vatican city area, so there is a lot of choice and, if booking early enough, anyone can find an accommodation to his or her taste.

Although the Vatican City area is not the most central quarter of the
city, thanks to good metro (underground) and bus connections, it is a
good and safe area to stay in for the average tourist in Rome.

Apart from Saint Peter’s Basilica and Square and the Vatican Museums and
Sistine Chapel there are more interesting and famous churches and
monuments (Castel Sant’Angelo) in the area and it is also a good
starting point for a walk along the river Tiber.

Trastevere, Rome’s nightlife district, and famous sights such as the Pantheon and Piazza Navona can easily be reached on foot and there is a direct bus line to the Olympic Stadium.
