Festivals Outside Rome Today

It is of course never necessary to be bored in Rome, with the many concerts, markets and other events that take place every Saturday and Sunday. Still it can be interesting to leave the capital sometimes and check out one of the small towns surrounding the Eternal City, especially when there is some kind of festival or sagra going on. Many of these have been held for generations and are steeped in tradition. Many of the towns themselves have food specialties that form extra attractions.

Festivals Outside Rome This Week (starting Friday November 4, 2011)

  • The 12th edition of the Festival of the Novello Wine and Oil takes place in Vignanello in the Province of Viterbo. (November 4, 5 and 6)
