Rome: Chaplin Hostel Rome: “Rome B&B bargain!”

My wife and I recently had a delightful stay at the Chaplin Bed-and-Breakfast in Rome. If you’re traveling on a budget and want clean, comfortable, conveniently located accommodations that won’t bankrupt you, check out the Chaplin. (——) It’s on the top floor (there’s an elevator), above the street noise, and is heated in winter. You get pleasant rooms, extremely comfortable beds, fresh towels daily, a separate fridge for guests, and a hearty breakfast.
The proprietor, Rene’, a friendly Dutch guy with a great sense of humor, is fluent in seven languages, including English. He knows Rome well and is happy to help you plan your itinerary.
We found the Chaplin’s location perfect–a 5-minute walk from the rail station and easy walking distance from most of the major sites. Nearby are shops where you can buy fresh food, as well as a small street market most mornings. There are also a number of decent, inexpensive restaurants.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chaplin and consider it one of the best bargains in Rome. We’ll be back!
